She is currently writing her Masters thesis on procedural rights in environmental matters, analyzing the link between human rights and the environment, including on the right to environmental information, the right to participate in decision making processes and the right of access to justice. Finola has a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from the University of Luxembourg. She is a British citizen, but grew up in Luxembourg. Presently Finola works in Luxembourg at a law firm focusing on labour and social law and environmental law. She works with CHRE on the design and preparation of a university course on assessing the social, environmental, economic and political implications of the potential arrival of hydraulic fracturing in the State of Florida.
