Andriana, a Greek national and resident of Switzerland, studied at the University of Peloponnese in Greece, where she focused her academic career on Informatics and Telecommunications contributing to research papers including on personalized augmented reality experiences. She also volunteered as a main coordinator of academic events. She received a scholarship to work at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) where she contributed to networking and later was accepted to work on new projects on data analysis and web development and design. Her keenness for new languages and different cultures led her to Germany to work as a database developer in the private sector. Andriana’s passion for glaciers and mountain environments eventually brought her back to Switzerland where she resides and works as an IT engineer in the financial sector. Andriana joined CHRE as an IT Expert and Climate Researcher. She is helping CHRE explore innovative IT solutions to promote climate awareness and advocacy to mitigate the climate emergency. She is also exploring strategies to bridge the gap between science and people and promote youth engagement in the climate movement.
