CEDHA promotes the implementation of standards for responsible corporate behavior, particularly related to issues of environmental and human rights. In this effort CEDHA promotes the use and implementation of the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. We are monitoring corporate behavior relative to guideline’s due diligence framework. We research and produce reports to highlight non-compliance with the Guidelines, and we file complaints (called Specific Instances) to governments to trigger their own due diligence relative to companies that allegedly are violating the OECD Guidelines. We are a member of OECD Watch, a network of civil society organizations that promotes the use of the Guidelines, training civil society on their relevance and use and advising other organizations in the presentation of Specific Instances.
